We've been doing a bit of spring cleaning around here. Call it wishful thinking for better weather, or just finally reaching that saturation point where you just can't take the "stuff" anymore. This has translated into 5 giant (GIANT) recycling bags of shredded paper from my personal files, and a rethink for how the studio space is organized.
It also means a rethink for how this website is organized. You'll notice a menu "rename", from letterpress to printing, and a new page under printing that calls out our print production and print management serivces. This is something we've been doing for *coughmumble*20*cough* years (HOW has it been that long?), and something that seems to be a bit of a dying art if conversations with others is any indication.
We've already been helping other studios bring their design files to press, so this is not a new service, per se. Just a new callout.
We print letterpress products in house, and have for many years now. But we also have a passion for printing and print production in general; I have both taught print production for designers AND simply done it for a fee for designers. I've sourced specialty printing and managed liaisons and production timelines for everything from corporate brochures, a deck of playing cards, NONletterpress wedding invitations, pop-up banners, signage, and everything in between. And I've cleaned up many, many files so that they are generally seaworthy and able to "work" in the real world.
